Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cluttr ("Cluttr", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cluttr mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Cluttr, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name (nickname). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider in accordance with the permissions you grant. We never receive or store your social or third-party account password.

Content you create

Cluttr stores the data you add to organize your home, including inventory item names and details, categories, locations, statuses, to-do lists, notes, home names and addresses you choose to enter, and any photos you attach to items or your profile.

Sharing & membership data

If you invite others to a shared home, or join one, we store the membership relationships, roles, and invitation codes needed to make sharing work. People you invite can see the inventory and to-do content within that shared home.

Subscription data

Cluttr Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through our payments partner, RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and purchase events, but we never receive or store your full payment card details. Those are handled by the App Store.

Technical & usage data

To keep the Service running and secure we may process limited technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash diagnostics, and timestamps of activity. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and sync the Service across your devices.
  • To enable family sharing and real-time collaboration in shared homes.
  • To process and manage your Cluttr Pro subscription.
  • To send essential account communications, such as password resets.
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use your content to serve advertising.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Cluttr is built on Google Firebase. Your account, content, and images are stored using Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Cloud Storage, operated by Google. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by these providers. For offline use, a copy of your data is also cached securely on your device and synced when a connection is available.

4. Service Providers

We share information only with vendors who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to perform their function:

  • Google Firebase: authentication, database, and image storage.
  • RevenueCat: subscription management and entitlement status.
  • Apple: App Store payment processing and Sign in with Apple.
  • Google: Sign in with Google authentication.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not authorize them to use your data for their own marketing.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA). You can:

  • Edit your profile and content directly within the app.
  • Leave or delete a shared home at any time.
  • Delete your account, which permanently removes your associated data.
  • Contact us at contact@getcluttr.com to exercise any of these rights.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or a home, the associated content is deleted from our active systems. Residual copies may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten in the ordinary course.

7. Children's Privacy

Cluttr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. We rely on the safeguards offered by those providers to protect your data during such transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
